Re-imagining the World Through God’s Eyes
Last Sunday we spent time worshiping together in gospel communities. In lieu of a regular sermon, we had a conversation around Ezekiel’s repeated talk of how God will “judge the nations” on the Christ City Cast.
Last Sunday, we opened the scriptures to Ezekiel Chapter 16. Passages of scripture like Ezekiel 16, can raise many questions for modern readers. This brief talk tries to answer some of those questions, regarding the vivid, graphic, and even offensive language and images that scripture often employs—and how Jesus redeems them. Try to keep in mind, this is by no means exhaustive and is meant to sit within the context of our community, as we journey together in God's Word as we seek to follow Jesus in the everyday.
In truly prophetic fashion, the weather interrupted our sermon recording and unfortunately, the audio is unavailable. In lieu of that, Jeremy and Chaz sat down to talk through some of the ideas from the teaching.
